The upper valve guards against splashes and seals the tube while you're underwater. It's silicone purge allows effortless clearing, and prevents water from seeping inside. A dry scuba snorkel, the EVO Zephyr Dry Snorkel uses a uniquely designed, hinged seal that swings upward to seal the airway so water can`t get in. As you surface, the flap swings open, allowing air to re-enter the tube. It`s really that simple.
